Liquid Sessions Announcement PDF Print E-mail

The Liquid Sessions has a new home at The Loft

From February 2008 the Liquid Sessions moves to The Loft nightclub in Maidstone, 2nd Saturday of Every Month!

Since its inception in 2005, the Liquid Sessions has been at the forefront of a resurgence in the South East's drum and bass scene; enjoying incredible success at the River Bar and hosting some of the biggest names in DnB, including Artificial Intelligence, Bryan G, Utah Jazz, Danny Byrd, Total Science, Unknown Error, Apex,  Doc Scott, Jumpin Jack Frost, Brockie, Laroque, and many more

A move to the Loft in the New Year is a natural progression for this established night and a chance to grow the Liquid Sessions into the South East's premier Drum & Bass event.

Kicking off the first event on the 9th February are two drum and bass heavyweights; Hospital Record's Cyantific, and Valve Recording's Craggz & Parallel Forces; alongside them, the same band of residents that have been instrumental in making the Liquid Sessions such a success - DJs Dready, Affinity, Illistrate, Anile, Indy & Mistasix.

Upstairs, Club Class's (www.club-class.org) 11th birthday celebrations will be playing host to the legendary Josh Wink, and Nic Fanciulli.

The closure of Atomics Nightclub in 2001 saw Maidstone's Drum & Bass scene suffer a hiatus. However, this same year also saw the creation of Osmosisbeats (www.osmosisbeats.com).  The 5 founder members; Matt, Leo, James, Tom and Dave - all of whom were already involved in the local breaks, hip hop, and drum & bass scenes - joined forces to showcase themselves and the music they loved.  Under this umbrella, they have expanded their enterprise over the past 6 years to include a Breaks night, Function; a Hip Hop night, EDUK8; Grass Roots Artist Management (http://www.gramagency.com/) and of course the Liquid Sessions.  2008 will be no different, expect the same dedication to putting Maidstone firmly on the Drum & Bass map.

Opening night is £12 / £8 Nus (£8 LS Paying Guestlist - Please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more info)

"I'm really pleased that the Liquid Sessions crew have stepped up a gear to this new venue. Already a great night with a wicked vibe / atmosphere and I'll definitely be seeing you there in 2008..." - Utah Jazz

"Liquid sessions is a great night. When I played there I played right across the board and was really well recieved. Looking forward to returning next year." - Heist

" I played at one of the first Liquid Sessions parties and from the start it had the feel of a wicked party. Since then I've played there 2 more times and it has gone from strength to strength! 2008 is gonna be big for LS" - Danny Byrd
